My son is just under a month old, and we ebf. I have this stupid pump as well and have the exact same problems! When I hand express, there's still lots in there. for exclusively pumping would be appreciated!

Do I just not have enough supply? Group Leaders communicate with staff moderators and escalate potential violations for review, but they dont moderate discussions. Am I not using it right? I want to start storing a little for later, in case I need to leave him with my mom or sister for a bit. I received a newer version from my sister in law and its not working well. I can actually express faster. Find advice, support and good company (and some stuff just for fun). I always get a good amount of milk within 5-10 min. My body never got along well with pumps, but this method worked well enough to keep me from getting engorged while I was taking meds and couldn't nurse for a few days.

It is not providing any suction at all. Anyone know what I can do? I ordered a new one from Madella and it was as good as new again. If I'm not extremely engorged, it won't get hardly anything out. If it does, go up a size, you will see a big difference. Also make sure the pieces are actually all snapped together. I also use this pump and have never had a problem. I have an old version of the medela harmony and love it when I travel. I really don't want to give up the breastfeeding (as per my other post).

Make sure you are using the right size in breastshields, they come with the 24 mm one, but there are bigger and smaller ones, you can visit their website for more info on this. If baby seems satisfied, is growing well and has plenty of diapers, and you get more while hand expressing than dont worry about your supply! I looked over the entire thing and found a tiny crack in the clear plastic membrane along the top of the pump handle and realized that extra air was causing it to loose suction and not pump a lot.
