After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Ficzere practiced at Saint Thomas Hospital as a Clinical Specialist in Anticoagulation for four years. She served as the coordinator of the Investigational Drug Service, clinical pharmacist for the Infectious Disease-HIV service and administrator for pharmacy continuing education. Dr. Green completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, North Carolina and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. Having joined the College in 2014, dean Canaday provided six years of dedicated service to the College and his retirement marks the conclusion of a storied career in academic pharmacy that has spanned more than four decades. 02, Pharm. While the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed much of our work since early spring, the 2019-20 academic year saw the successful implementation of our four health care-focused bachelors degrees as standalone programs: Tailored to the demands of the market and the needs of students, the programs are providing students with options and the ability to explore their passions within health care. She currently serves as the faculty advisor to the Belmont Student Pharmacists Alliance, TPAs Society of Student Pharmacists and APhAs Academy of Student Pharmacists. Dr. Pace has spent his career in community pharmacy. This practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Lindsay Hahn joined the Belmont faculty in July of 2011. He served as the founding president of the Ole Miss student chapter of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. He graduated cum laude from the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL. Even during difficult times, there are incredible things underway at the College as we continue our work to prepare students for expert practice and leadership in pharmacy and health care education, interprofessional patient-centered care and collaborative research. In addition, at the close of the 2019-20 academic year, we said farewell to Bruce Canaday, Pharm.D., FASHP, FAPhA, who officially retired as dean of the School of Pharmacy. Dr. Ficzere was the founding Director of Drug Information Services for the Belmont University College of Pharmacy and established the Christy Houston Drug Information Center, built the pharmacy-related library collection, and developed drug information and literature evaluation curricula for the college. Dr. Tavajay Campbell joined the Belmont faculty in the summer of 2019.
She also teaches an elective in Antimicrobial Stewardship for second and third year pharmacy students. Dr. Henneman was the PGY1 residency program director from 2014 2020 and founding director of the PGY2 ambulatory care residency from 2018 - 2020. In this role, her responsibilities included the following: responding to information requests from other health care professionals and the public, evaluating medications and medication classes for formulary status, writing and editing newsletter articles, precepting students and residents, and advising residents on research projects. She then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care and psychiatric pharmacy at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Dr. Green has established an internal medicine practice site at Williamson Medical Center where she works in conjunction with the hospitalist physician group and serves as the pharmacy chair for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. She serves as the course coordinator for Pathophysiology and Therapeutics II where she teaches a portion of the Infectious Disease lectures and for Therapeutics Case Studies I. He most recently served as Clinical Research Pharmacist for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research grant addressing health disparities for African American males at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research interest are focused on health communication in chronic conditions. She also served in several roles at the VCU School of Pharmacy including co-preceptor for students on introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences, clinical instructor in pharmacy practice laboratories, and guest lecturer in the Self-Medication courses.
