This Sunday May 24th will be KRA #3. Indoor karts commonly have slower speeds because of square foot limitations of the tracks. This looks like it will put a 2 week pause on track activity. Entries are still open for the NCMP 125 LO206 Endurance Race on October 20th and 21st. These go karts have an electric or gas motor that allows a driver to accelerate around a track competing against other drivers. You may need to interact closely with staff when they strap you in the kart or need to assist on the track. We look forward to seeing everyone next spring for the 18th season of the KRA Series! While speed is often lower, the advantage of course is year round racing. The race day schedule has been included but depending on the number of entries in a particular class we may split some of them on race day. We will be running a new track layout this weekend! The event has been a popular one with the racers and sponsors of IndyCar, many of whom were close friends and competitors of Wheldons during his racing career and are glad to be able to give back and support the fundraiser. You must attend the banquet to receive your awards for the year. Most go karts for public racing have bumpers around them, while pro karts do not. 6/16/20 - Starting this Thursday June 18th to Saturday June 20th, the Vintage Karting Association will be at New Castle Motorsports Park with karts from the 50's to today. SKUSA Tune Up practice will be available from 10am to 6pm both days. The facility was incredible, the staff was engaging, and our entire group had a blast! Also the KRA Series makes it's return after a 5 week break with a double header weekend on August 24th and 25th. We will also be spacing out the grid and pit spots to maintain distance from other racers as well as leaving additional time to scale so that 6 can be maintained in the scale line. This year's event will feature numerous racing kart classes and well as rental kart races for a chance to race against Jarrett Andretti! It's the next to last race for the KRA Series in 2020! Typically indoor karts are slower in general, but the indoor track layout also limits the top speed.
